Many kids get grounded for many things these days. Some worse then others and some just plain stupid for even getting in trouble for. Many people don't know what to do while they are grounded. That's what I am here for to help you find something to do to ocupy your time.
The first thing you can do is play a card game. There are a few card games you can either play by yourself or find someone to play with. Either way it helps you find something to do. You can play poker, gold fish, texas holdem, Speed, and many other ones. Even if you dont have a deck of cards you can get some paper and make a deck yourself. No matter which way you look at it you have a deck of cards to use.
Next thing you can do is read a book. It doesn't matter what book it is as long as it is something that completes your intrest. It doesn't even have to be a book it can be a magazine or the newspaper. Anything that intrests you and takes up your time. I know many people do not like to read so this may be a last resort for you. But it is something you can do to make time pass by.
Another thing you can do is work out. You can do simple things like squats, wall squats, stand still jog in place, lunges, and there are many things you can do to work out. One thing many people do when they are grounded is sit around not do anything, this can be very unhealthy. Another thing people do when they are bored and grounded is eat. This is can be very bad depending on what you eat.
These are just a few things you can do when you are grounded. They may not be very interesting to you but it is better then just sitting around and doing nothing all day. Take advantage of your time and do something with it. Hey you can do homework while your at it. Being grounded doesn't mean you can't do anyting. Just figure it out.

Stress
Everybody has problems in their life. Some have it harder than other but everyone has their share of problems. For many people now days money has become an issue because of the economy. As many kids parents are going through a hard time, none of the kids truly understand what is going on. The only way to really understand is to actually be put in the situation of their parents.
One thing I have realized about people in tough money situations, they tend to be tempered quite easily compared to when they were financially stable. The stress of the situation is very hard on everyone and as I try to say that I understand what is going on, I really can't say I do. I look at my parents and watch the change in their attitude and I also see the wrinkles building up from the stress, dang they are getting old.
One way for kids or teens to help their parents in this situation is to stop asking for money as often. When you ask for money this makes it harder on them. No parent wants to say no to their child. Another thing to do is to try and do things that don't cost money. By doing this you are helping your parents out and showing them you partially understand what is going on and you do care.
When people are under a tense situation they tend to say stuff they don't mean. Try and talk about something that will not cause their temper to rise or for them to feel even more under stress. Try and do stuff for them as much as possible by showing you are there for them and will help them in some way. One thing I always hear from my parents is ,"You just don't care." or, "You don't understand, you have no idea what is going on in the world." As I sit there and try to understand what he is saying, I realize that he is just in a hard spot.
What I am trying to say is many people are going through a hard time and try not to push their buttons by doing stuff that will bug them. Show them you care and you want to help anyway possible. They will love you no matter what, but doing kind things will always help you out.

Learn from your mistakes
I haven't done a blog in a long time and I should be. I think thats whats wrong with a lot of teenagers or kids these days they just don't care about their grades anymore. Don't get me wrong I'm not trying to say that I don't care about my grade, I just always forget about stuff I am suppose to do. I guess I just have a bad memory but I can't use that as an excuse.
Grades in school are actually quite important to me. How do you expect to go anywhere with your life if you don't try in school. School is preparing you for the real life and many people don't realize this. I always hear people saying "How is this going to help me in the real world?", but surprisingly we use quite a lot of everything we learn in school in real life at some point in your life.
Nobody really knows what they are going to do when they are older or where they are going to go in life. You take life as it comes, you make mistakes and you learn from them. Trust me I have made my fair share of mistakes and I am learning everyday. When something goes wrong in life don't get discouraged, just learn from what you did wrong and next time make a better decision.

Mistakes
There's always something happening in people's lives. Some may be good and some may be bad, but whenever something does go wrong people always over react to what has happened to them. I recently talked to a friend who told me, "You only live once, you need to set a goal for yourself and then follow it."
When something bad happens in your life you need to take that experience and use it to your advantage. Feed off of that experience and use it as encouragement to do something better with your life with whatever happens. There's always something going on and you can't always expect everything to be perfect how you want it.
It's usually the little things that happen in life that people over react to. They never actually notice how much they over react to something until after it happens and they look back and ask themselves, "What was I thinking?". I feel that without all this drama then life would not be that interesting to tell you the truth. All everyone ever hears at school is about all the drama that happens and it gives everyone something to talk about.
Lets face it people making mistakes and drama is just a part of life. It's really not that bad everyone just needs to be reasonable about what is going on. Never get down on yourself if something does not go according to plan. It's just another bump in the rode that you have to get over, and after you get over that bump you will realize that it wasn't that hard in the first place.
Everyone makes mistakes in life, and trust me I have made my fair of mistakes, but I realized that after everything happens there's nothing I can do about it anymore and I need to move on with my life and fix it the best way I possibly could. Whenever something happens it is usually best to go with your gut instinct. Think about the cause and effect of your actions, and ask yourself if you are willing to take that risk.

Hi I am Shannon and I am not a great writer and to tell you the truth I am simply doing this just to receive a good grade in my class. I am going to talk about pressure, pressure from parents, pressure from fellow peers, and ext.
When it comes to pressure I receive a great deal of it. I have been playing softball for about the past 5 years. And now that I am a junior in High School I feel like I get twice the pressure then i did before. When some parents talk to their kids they talk about how their day was or what they are going to do that week, but when I talk to my dad all he ever talks about is softball. I understand that he is just trying to help me go to college but the pressure he puts on me is too much. After school we always go to the batting cages and if I don't do good, he tells me that I'm not trying hard enough. My life REVOLVES around softball.
If your parents are like my dad then I know how you feel and the best way to deal with the pressure they put on you is by looking at it in a positive way. I mean they are just trying to help you succeed in life. My dad is the first one to get angry at me when I do something wrong when playing softball and it always feels like he is never happy if he feels that I'm not trying hard enough. Sometimes the pressure from my dad comes off like this in my perspective, but in reality it's not that bad. I'm just a teenage kid always over reacting everything.
I feel that one of the hardest pressures to deal with are the ones from your parents. I always react the wrong way toward my dad when he pressures me. I get angry and yell, but I should take his pressure and turn it into encouragement and do better out on the field. If you get pressure from parents you should look at it from their point of view before retaliating (I should listen to my own advice).
